Beginning this week, all U.S. citizens can buy new health insurance plans that fit their needs and budgets. The Health Insurance Marketplaces cover doctor visits, hospitalizations, maternity care, emergency room visits and prescriptions. Preventative services are free of charge and nobody can be denied coverage because of pre-existing conditions. Those who sign up by December 15, 2013 will have coverage starting January 1, 2014.
