Digital Rural Health National Fellow

Jasrina Kaushal, MDÌýis the »Æ¹ÏÊÓÆµ Digital Rural Health National Fellow, where she has played a key role in scaling the program from its 2024 pilot into a growing national initiative. Originally from Canada, her clinical experiences in rural communities exposed her to the stark healthcare disparities that continue to drive her commitment to health equity and access.

She began her work on the project during her final year of medical school, taking on a leadership role as the initiative expanded. Since then, Dr. Kaushal has led the development of curriculum and programming, trained over 300 medical and pre-medical students as Digital Health Navigators, and built partnerships with students, clinicians, and organizations across the country. Her work includes on-the-ground community engagement in rural Ohio, as well as national advocacy and conference presentations, all aimed at bridging gaps in access through innovative, technology-driven solutions.

She is passionate about empowering the next generation of healthcare leaders to address disparities through education, advocacy, and digital innovation.
